Russell Martin and Juan Pierre each had an RBI double for the Dodgers, who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Johnny Cueto (5-7) gave up two runs on five hits and three walks in seven innings for the loss. Javier Valentin had the lone RBI for the Reds, who have lost three in a row.

The Dodgers' starting rotation suffered a blow Tuesday when Brad Penny was placed on the 15-day disabled list and Hiroki Kuroda will miss his start Wednesday, both because of shoulder soreness.
