MLB: Baltimore 6, Toronto 5

TORONTO, June 6 (UPI) -- Home runs by Melvin Mora, Kevin Millar and Adam Jones produced a six-run eighth inning Friday that rallied the Baltimore Orioles past Toronto 6-5.

The Blue Jays owned a 4-0 lead going into the eighth, but fell victim to the long ball and suffered their second brutal loss in as many days. Toronto ended a nine-game road trip Thursday by blowing a two-run lead in the ninth and falling to the New York Yankees.

Toronto starter Shaun Marcum, who gave up six hits over the first seven innings, allowed a leadoff double to Brian Roberts in the eighth and was relieved by Brian Tallet.

Nick Markakis singled in Roberts and Mora followed with a homer to center to make it 4-3.

Armando Benitez (0-1) came on for Tallet and promptly allowed a solo homer to Millar. Luke Scott then reached first on a fielding error by shortstop David Eckstein and Jones followed with a blast to left-center.
