CHICAGO, June 1 (UPI) -- Alfonso Soriano, Jim Edmonds and Aramis Ramirez powered the Chicago Cubs past Colorado 5-3 Sunday, stretching their winning streak to seven games.

The Rockies have lost seven straight.

Soriano clubbed a solo home run, Edmonds doubled and tripled to drive in two runs, and Ramirez had three hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Sean Gallagher (3-1) pitched 5 2/3 innings, striking out eight Rockies, for the win. Gallagher allowed three runs and six hits. Kerry Wood worked the ninth and notched his 14th save.

Ian Stewart, Yorvit Torrealba and Omar Quintanilla each drove in a run for the Rockies.

Loser Ubalto Jimenez (1-6) was tagged for four runs and seven hits in five innings.
