MLB: Atlanta 6, LA Dodgers 1

ATLANTA, April 20 (UPI) -- Jair Jurrjens yielded three hits over eight innings Sunday and the Atlanta Braves completed a three-game sweep with a 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Jurrjens is the second major league player ever from Curacao. Coincidentally, the other is former Brave Andruw Jones, now a Dodger.

Jurrjens (2-2) surrendered Russell Martin's solo homer in the top of the fourth inning. He walked three batters and struck out eight.

Mark Teixeira had three hits -- including a two-run homer in the eighth -- and three RBI. Jeff Francoeur had three hits.

Three others had two hits apiece while Kelly Johnson scored three times for the Braves, who had not swept the Dodgers at home since April 2000.

Losing pitcher Hiroki Kuroda (1-2) surrendered two earned runs and seven hits in six innings, with four walks and four strikeouts.

No player had more than one hit for the Dodgers, who have dropped four of their last six games.
