COL BKB (W): UConn 78, Old Dominion 63

GREENSBORO, N.C., March 30 (UPI) -- Maya Moore scored 25 points Sunday, powering Connecticut to a 78-63 NCAA Tournament victory over Old Dominion.

The winners led 43-33 at the half and were up by as many as 28 points (73-45) in the second half of the semifinal in the Greensboro, N.C., Regional.

In a dominant performance, Moore, a 6-foot freshman from Lawrenceville, Ga., also had 11 rebounds, three blocked shots and two assists.

Renee Montgomery scored 13 points, while Brittany Hunter, Tina Charles and Charde Houston each scored 10 points for the top-seeded Huskies (35-1), whose 14th straight win qualified them for their third straight Elite Eight appearance.

Old Dominion was led by Tiffany Green's 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Jessica Canady scored 11 with 10 rebounds and Shahida Williams added 10 points for the fifth-seeded Lady Monarchs, who ended their season with a 31-5 record.
