NHL: Nashville 2, Chicago 1 (SO)

NASHVILLE, March 22 (UPI) -- Alex Radulov scored the game-winner in a shootout Saturday when the Nashville Predators beat the Chicago Blackhawks 2-1.

Radulov scored in the second round, right after goaltender Dan Ellis stopped a wrist shot by Chicago's Jonathan Toews. Rich Peverley scored in the first round, giving the Predators a 2-0 shootout advantage.

Regulation ended in a 1-1 tie after Nashville's Jason Arnott and Chicago's Andrew Ladd traded goals in the first period.

Dan Ellis stopped 37 of 38 shots in regulation for the Predators, who rose to 82 points to move within two of Colorado for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot. The victory ended their six-game home losing streak.

Nikolai Khabibulin, who was beaten on Radulov's game-winner, stopped 33 of 34 shots in regulation for the Blackhawks, who have lost two of three.
