NBA: New Jersey 117, Utah 115

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 16 (UPI) -- Richard Jefferson scored 27 points Saturday to help the New Jersey Nets edge the Utah Jazz 117-115.

His output included a go-ahead basket with 1.5 seconds remaining.

In all, he made 11 of 15 field goal attempts and scored six of New Jersey's final eight points.

The Nets carried an 86-81 lead into the fourth period but Utah went ahead 115-111 before Jefferson's game-ending heroics.

Vince Carter scored 25 points with eight rebounds.

Josh Boone had 21 points and 13 rebounds and Bostjan Nachbar added 16 points for the Nets, who have won two in a row following a six-game losing streak.

Utah was led by Carlos Boozer's career-high 41 points and nine rebounds.

Kyle Korver scored 18, Mehmet Okur 17, Ronnie Brewer 14, and Deron Williams scored 11 with 16 assists for the Jazz, whose two-game winning streak ended.
