COL BKB: Vanderbilt 93, Auburn 82

ATLANTA, March 13 (UPI) -- A.J. Ogilvy's 27 points Thursday boosted 17th-ranked Vanderbilt to a 93-82 victory against Auburn in the first round of the SEC men's tournament in Atlanta.

Vandy held a 47-36 halftime lead, but Auburn closed to 61-56 when Lucas Hargrove sank a three-pointer with 11:30 left in the contest.

A 13-0 Vandy spurt followed and Auburn got no closer.

Shan Foster had 26 points and four rebounds.

Alex Gordon had 14 points and four assists.

Ross Neltner scored 10, while Ogilvy added five rebounds to his career-high point total for the Commodores (26-6), who have won three of their last four games.

Their 67 percent shooting percentage included 9 of 18 three-pointers.

Auburn got 20 points and three assists from Rasheem Barrett.

Frank Tolbert had 17 points and five rebounds and Hargrove scored 16 points with eight rebounds for the Tigers (14-16), whose season ended with five straight losses.
