VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Daniel Sedin scored the only goal of a shootout Wednesday, delivering Vancouver a 3-2 victory over St. Louis.
Both teams came into the game on season-long losing streaks. Vancouver was able to end its skid at four. The Blues have lost six in a row.

St. Louis twice took the lead, but Mattias Ohlund twice knotted the score. Both of Ohlund's goals came on the power play, the first one with 1:39 left in the first period and the second 1:46 into the third.
Roberto Luongo made 25 saves in regulation and the five-minute overtime and he stopped Keith Tkachuk, David Perron and Paul Kariya in the shootout.
