NHL: Nashville 4, Colorado 0

DENVER, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Dan Ellis stopped 38 shots to post the fourth shutout of his career Tuesday when the Nashville Predators beat the Colorado Avalanche 4-0.

Martin Erat scored two goals for the Predators, who have won three straight and registered at least a point in seven of their last eight games. Shea Weber had a goal and an assist, and Ryan Suter notched two assists for Nashville.

Jose Theodore, making his nine consecutive start, allowed all four goals on 29 shots for the Avalanche, who lost in regulation for the first time since Jan. 9. Colorado had recorded a point in its last five games, going 4
