NBA: Phoenix 115, Minnesota 95

PHOENIX, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire scored 23 points Friday and Steve Nash did not miss a shot in leading the Phoenix Suns to a 115-95 whipping of Minnesota.

The Timberwolves have lost 15 consecutive road games.

Nash made all six of his attempts from the field, including his lone three-point shot, and was four of four from the line, for 17 points in all. He also had 13 assists while Raja Bell added 20 points and Leandro Barbosa 19.

Phoenix has won five of its last seven.

Minnesota, which has won only five games all season, was led by Al Jefferson with 27 points. One of those five victories came against Phoenix Dec. 8.

The Timberwolves are 1-19 on the road.

The Suns trailed by two midway through the second period, but they went on a 13-point run and Minnesota never recovered.
