NBA: Toronto 89, Atlanta 78

TORONTO, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Chris Bosh scored 35 points Friday and the Toronto Raptors pulled away late to defeat Atlanta 89-78.

Anthony Parker added 18 for the Raptors, winners of two in a row and five out of six. Atlanta lost its second straight.

Joe Johnson paced the Hawks with 25 points and Josh Smith had 24.

Atlanta trailed by just two after Johnson made a three-pointer with 6:41 remaining in the fourth quarter. Toronto then ran off eight straight points to take an 83-73 lead with 3:30 to go.

The Hawks came no closer than seven the rest of the way.

Atlanta's Anthony Johnson was ejected from the game late in the first half for elbowing Jose Calderon in the head.

Toronto has won the last four meetings between the teams.
