BOSTON, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Ray Allen made five of Boston's season-high 14 three-pointers Friday, sending the Celtics coasting past Philadelphia 116-89.
Allen scored 23 points and Paul Pierce had 22 despite sitting out almost all of the fourth period. Boston trailed by three at the half and outscored Philadelphia 62-32 over the final 24 minutes.

Philadelphia, which committed 23 turnovers, was led by Andre Iguodala with 17 points.
Boston hit 59 percent from the floor. The three-point barrage included the first successful long-range shot in Reggie Evans' career. He had missed all 12 three-point shots he had taken previously.
