AFC honors go to Taylor, Cromartie, Davis

NEW YORK, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Jacksonville running back Fred Taylor, San Diego's Antonio Cromartie and Houston's Andre Davis were named by the NFL Thursday as top AFC players in December.

Taylor won the honors for offense by leading the NFL with a 123.5 yard-per-game rushing average in December, helping the Jaguars into the playoffs.

.Cromartie had four pass interceptions for the Chargers, finishing with 10 for the regular season.

Davis won the special teams award with three kickoff returns for touchdowns during the month.
