DENVER, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Allen Iverson finished with 23 points and 10 assists Saturday night and the Denver Nuggets held off Sacramento for a 101-97 win.
Denver led by eight with 4:20 left to play, but the Kings clawed their way back to 96-95 with less than two minutes to go. Kenyon Martin put the Nuggets up 98-95 and the Kings committed turnovers on their next three possessions.

Sacramento still managed to get within 99-97, but Iverson iced the game with two free throws in the closing seconds.
Martin scored a season-high 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Carter scored 17 and Carmelo Anthony had 14 points for Denver -- which has won four of its last five games.
John Salmons led Sacramento with 25 points and six rebounds.
