ST. LOUIS, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- The St. Louis Blues got a goal and assist by Paul Kariya Friday night in a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.

Martin Rucinsky and Erik Johnson also picked up goals for the Blues, who never trailed in the contest.

Hannu Toivonen made 26 saves for St. Louis.

Vancouver's Ryan Kesler scored a goal and Robert Luongo made 26 saves.
