DETROIT, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Brett Favre threw three touchdown passes Thursday afternoon as the Green Bay Packers beat the Detroit Lions, 37-26.
After an inauspicious start when he lost a fumble on Green Bay's first offensive play, he went 31-of-41 passing for 381 yards, with 20 straight completions at one point.
Ryan Grant scored once on 15 attempts for 101 yards, and placekicker Mason Crosby booted three field goals as the Packers rose to 10-1 with their sixth straight victory.
They led 17-9 at the half, and stunted any Detroit comeback attempt in the second half.
The victory reduced Green Bay's magic number to clinching the NFC North Division crown to two games.
Detroit's Jon Kitna was 19-for-40 for 224 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Kevin Jones scored a touchdown on 20 carries for 93 yards, and placekicker Jason Hanson booted four field goals for the Lions, who have a three-game losing streak after suffering the fourth straight loss in their annual Thanksgiving Day contest.
