COL FB: Michigan 34, Minnesota 10

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Brandon Minor gained 157 yards and Carlos Brown ran for 132 yards Saturday afternoon, as the 21st-ranked Michigan Wolverines beat Minnesota, 34-10.

Minor and Brown, who scored two TDs, made up for the absence of Michigan's top running back Mike Hart, who sat out with an ankle injury. Wideout Mario Manningham had five receptions for 162 yards for Michigan (7-2, 5-0 Big Ten), which has won seven straight after starting the season 0-2.

Freshman Ryan Mallet, filling in for Michigan quarterback Chad Henn, out with a hand injury, completed 11-of-20 passes for 233 yards and a TD.

Duane Bennett gained 106 yards on 20 carries for Minnesota (1-8, 0-5), which has lost eight in a row.

Adam Weber completed 14-of-30 passes for 99 yards for the Golden Gophers, who were held without an offensive touchdown.
