NBA: Orlando 90, Cleveland 86

SHANGHAI, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard had 31 points and 14 rebounds Wednesday, to lead the Orlando Magic to a 90-86 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in an NBA exhibition in China.

The game was the first in the NBA China Games 2007 -- in which the Magic, Cavaliers and Team China All-Stars play games in Shanghai and Macao. The exhibitions continue through Saturday.

In Wednesday's opener, the Magic rallied from double-digit deficits much of the game and didn't lead until Howard hit a hook shot with 8:26 left in the third period. Neither team was able to take control from there until Hedo Turkoglu dropped in a lay-up with 47 seconds to play to give Orlando the lead for good.

Jameer Nelson added 24 points to Howard's game-high effort.

LeBron James scored 17 points to lead Cleveland.
