HOUSTON, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- The Miami Dolphins were defeated by the Houston Texans 22-19 Sunday after Kris Brown kicked a franchise record 57-yard field goal in the game's last second.
Brown kicked a perfect 5-5 game, completing two 54-yard field goals for the Texans (3-2).
The kicks put Brown with Neil Rackers and Morten Anderson as the only NFL players in history to hit three field goals of 50-plus yards in one game.
He also set a franchise record of 16 field goal points.
"I've been doing this a long time and I've never seen a kicking performance like the one the kid put on today," said Texans head coach Gary Kubiak. "But I'll tell you the thing that nobody knows. The kid has a problem with his foot. He came in at halftime and took a shot so that he could go back out for his team. That tells you what's going on with this team right now. That's as impressive as I've ever seen."
