NFL: New England 38, San Diego 14

FOXBORO, Mass., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Tom Brady threw three touchdown passes, including two to Randy Moss, as the New England Patriots jolted the San Diego Chargers, 38-14, Sunday night.

The hometown Patriots showed no sign of being distracted by a scandal over stolen signals that cost the team a high draft choice and a $250,000 fine. Coach Bill Belichick was also fined $500,000.

Rivers threw a pair of TD passes in the second half to Lorenzo Neal and Antonio Gates to avoid the shutout.
