MLB: Baltimore 8, Tampa Bay 4

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Aubrey Huff lofted a two-run home run and Ramon Hernandez drilled a bases-clearing double Tuesday as Baltimore beat Tampa Bay 8-4.

Corey Patterson also homered, and Nick Markakis went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored for the Orioles, who won for the just the second time in their last 14 games.

Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie lasted six innings, surrendering three runs on eight hits. Chad Bradford (3-6) got the win despite giving up the tying run in the bottom of the seventh.

B.J. Upton knocked in a pair of runs for the Devil Rays, who had won four of their last five.

Tampa Bay starter Scott Kazmir pitched seven innings, yielding four runs on nine hits. Dan Wheeler (1-7) took the loss.
