MLB: Toronto 6, Oakland 2 (12 inn.)

OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Troy Glaus drove in the game-winning run in a four-run 12th inning Monday as the Toronto Blue Jays downed the Oakland Athletics 6-2.

Vernon Wells and Frank Thomas started the 12th with singles and Glaus followed with a double to score Wells. Aaron Hill singled in Russ Adams, who was running for Thomas. Gregg Zaun then grounded into a fielder's choice to score Glaus, and Reed Johnson's single to center brought Zaun home for a 6-2 lead.

Brian Wolfe retired Oakland in order in the bottom of the 12th to end the game.

Alex Rios went 2-for-5 with an RBI and Glaus finished 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored for the Blue Jays, who have won two of three.

A.J. Burnett gave up just one run on four hits with five walks and three strikeouts in seven innings. Jeremy Accardo (3-3) got the win with a scoreless 11th inning.

Nick Swisher went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, while Dan Johnson drove in the other run for the Athletics, who have dropped four straight.

Alan Embree (1-2) was charged with the loss.
