EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Taye Biddle had two receptions -- both for touchdowns -- Saturday night, as the Carolina Panthers beat the New York Giants, 24-21, in preseason play.
The Panthers scored 14 unanswered points after trailing, 14-10.
Jake Delhomme started at quarterback for Carolina and went 5-for-8 for 30 yards and one touchdown. David Carr completed 6-of-8 passes for 83 yards and a TD, and Brett Basanez completed 3-of-8 effort for 11 yards and one TD.
DeShaun Foster ran for a game-high 62 yards on five carries for the Panthers.
New York quarterback Eli Manning was 3-for-5 for 27 yards and one touchdown -- to receiver Jeremy Shockey. Brandon Jacobs rushed for 15 yards on four carries, and Derrick Ward ran for a touchdown.
