Antoine Walker robbed in Chicago home

CHICAGO, July 10 (UPI) -- Police say armed robbers struck the Chicago home of Miami Heat forward Antoine Walker while the player and two others were home.

Officer John Mirabelli said a vehicle, cash and jewelry were taken during the Monday night robbery, the Chicago Tribune reported Tuesday. He said there were no injuries and police do not yet have any suspects in custody.

"He's OK," said Walker's agent, Mark Bartelstein. "There was a robbery. It's a scary thing. It's a terrible thing. He's trying to get himself back together. Police are there and he's getting it taken care of."

The incident was the second time Walker has been robbed in Chicago. Walker and fellow NBA player Nazr Mohammed were among five victims robbed at gunpoint outside Eppels Restaurant in July 2000. The robbers took cash and a $55,000 diamond and platinum watch from Walker, who at the time played for the Boston Celtics.
