Hansen shot 7-under-par 63 to make his three-round total 10-under 200. His sparkling round included nine birdies, which offset a double bogey at the 16th hole.

"Five years without a win is a long time," the 33-year-old Hansen said. "But I will take it one step at a time because last week I was sitting here saying the same thing, but now I am playing good golf and putting myself in contention and that's what it is all about."

Hansen led last week's French Open after 54 holes, only to be beaten by Graeme Storm when he shot 1-over 72 in the final round.
