OAKLAND, Calif., July 7 (UPI) -- Felix Hernandez shut out Oakland for eight innings and Adrian Beltre hit his third home run in two games Saturday as the Seattle Mariners beat Oakland, 4-0.
Hernandez (5-4) allowed two hits in his second outstanding performance this week. The right-hander gave up only two runs in eight innings against Kansas City Monday.
Hernandez also pitched a shutout against Oakland on Opening Day.
Beltre hit his 13th homer of the season for Seattle, which has won three of its last four games. He was 5-for-5 with two homers, two doubles and a single Friday.
Rich Harden (1-2) lasted just 2 2/3 innings in his first start since April 15. He gave up four runs and five hits with three walks.
Harden was out earlier this season with a shoulder injury.
