NEW YORK, July 3 (UPI) -- Chien-Ming Wang won his fifth consecutive decision and Robinson Cano hit a two-run homer Tuesday as the New York Yankees blanked the Minnesota Twins 8-0.

Wang (8-4) scattered four hits, walked four and fanned three in seven innings to remain unbeaten in his last seven starts.

Scott Proctor struck out two batters in the eighth and Edwar Ramirez struck out the side in the ninth to complete a five- hitter.

Melky Cabrera and Derek Jeter each had two RBI and Bobby Abreu had his second straight three-hit game.

Carlos Silva (6-9) gave up nine hits and six runs over 5 1/3 innings.
