In five seasons and 115 games with the Sharks, Toskala had a 65-28-10 record, a 2.34 goals-against average, a .914 save percentage and eight shutouts.

Bell spent one season in San Jose following his acquisition from the Chicago Blackhawks. In 71 games, Bell scored 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists).

"I'm really excited," Toskala said. "I was prepared for something to happen. I had thought that Toronto was one of the places I might end up."
