Top seeds reach Eastbourne quarters

EASTBOURNE, England, June 20 (UPI) -- Justine Henin and Amelie Mauresmo, the tournament's top two seeds, coasted into the third round Wednesday at the International Women's Open.

Henin, the event's defending champion and the No. 1 seed, rolled to a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Agnieszka Radwanska.

Mauresmo, who will soon be defending her Wimbledon championship, enjoyed a 6-2, 6-3 decision over Mara Santangelo. Henin will face Nicole Vaidisova in the quarterfinals and Mauresmo will play Shahar Peer.

Third-seeded Nadia Petrova was a 7-5, 7-5 winner over Nathalie Dechy and Elena Dementieva, the fourth seed, ousted Katie O'Brien 6-3, 6-4.
