Gasquet advances at Nottingham

NOTTINGHAM, England, June 20 (UPI) -- Richard Gasquet, seeking his second straight Nottingham Open title, reached the quarterfinals Wednesday with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Jan Vacek.

Gasquet, seeded No. 1 at this tournament, will be trying to get past the first round at Wimbledon for only the second time in his career when that tournament begins next week.

He will play No. 8 Arnaud Clement in the quarterfinals after Clement got past Teimuraz Gabashvili 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 6-3.

Second-seeded Dmitry Tursunov also advanced with a 7-6 (9-7), 3-6, 6-2 win over Tim Henman.

Tursunov's quarterfinal opponent will be Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
