MLB: Seattle 5, Texas 4

SEATTLE, June 3 (UPI) -- Miguel Batista limited Texas to two runs in 6 1/3 innings Saturday night, as the Seattle Mariners beat the Rangers, 5-4.

Batista (6-4) allowed just five hits, struck out five and walked two.

Jose Guillen homered for the Mariners, who had come into the game with three losses in their previous four games.

Ichiro Suzuki was hitless in four trips, ending his franchise-record 25- game hitting streak.

J.J. Putz got the final five outs for his 13th save of the season.

Kameron Loe (1-5) lost his fifth straight decision, yielding eight hits and five runs in 5 1/3 innings, with two strikeouts and four walks.

Mark Teixeira homered for the Rangers, who have lost nine of their last 11 games.
