PITTSBURGH, June 3 (UPI) -- Andre Ethier hit a two-run homer in the top of eighth inning Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied to beat Pittsburgh, 5-4.
Adam LaRoche and Jason Bay hit solo home runs, LaRoche added an RBI single, and Xavier Nady scored on a fielder's choice groundout by starter Tom Gorzelanny in the bottom of the fourth as Pittsburgh built a 4-0 lead.
Los Angeles recovered as Jeff Kent, Rafael Furcal and Nomar Garciaparra all drove in one run in the top of the seventh, before Ethier's game-winner gave them their second win in the three-game series.
The winner was Chad Billingsley (4-0).
Joe Beimel recorded his first save.
Four players had two hits for the Pirates, who have dropped four of five.
The loser was Salomon Torres (0-2).
LA starter Brad Penny gave up four earned runs and nine hits in seven innings, while Gorzelanny allowed three earned runs and seven hits in 6 2/3 innings.
