Matt Diaz and Edgar Renteria also drove in one run each for the Braves, who have won three of four.

The winner was Tyler Yates (2-0). Bob Wickman recorded his ninth save.

Alfonso Soriano and starter Rich Hill both had one RBI for Chicago, while one run scored on a fielding error by Martin Prado for the Cubs, who suffered their sixth straight loss.

The loser was Will Ohman (0-3).

Cubs Manager Lou Pinella was ejected for the first time this season after throwing his hat and kicking dirt on third base umpire Mark Wegner, who called Angel Pagan out on a close play on a base-stealing attempt in the bottom of the eighth. Home plate umpire Bruce Froemming said Piniella made physical contact with Wegner.
