Pettersen wins Michelob ULTRA

WILLIAMSBURG, Va., May 13 (UPI) -- Suzann Pettersen two-putted for par on the third playoff hole Sunday, defeating third-round leader Jee Young Lee to win the Michelob ULTRA Open.

Pettersen closed with a 3-under 68 to get into the clubhouse at 10-under-par 274. Lee had a birdie putt to win the tournament, but two-putted for par on the 72nd hole to join Pettersen at minus-10.

They returned to the 18th hole at Kingsmill Golf Club for the playoff. On the first extra hole, Pettersen parred and Lee missed a 25-foot putt for birdie so they played the hole again. This time Pettersen missed the birdie from 10 feet and settled for matching Lee's par and they teed off for a third time.

They again found the fairway off the tee. Lee's approach shot came to rest 10 feet from the pin, while Pettersen's landed 20 feet from the fringe and her putt slid by the right edge. Lee then pushed her birdie putt three feet by the hole and rushed her par putt right again before tapping in for a three-putt bogey.
