NBA: Phoenix 101, San Antonio 81

PHOENIX, May 9 (UPI) -- Steve Nash had 20 points and 16 assists Tuesday night, as the Phoenix Suns beat San Antonio, 101-81, to even their Western Conference semifinal series at 1-1.

Nash -- who took six stitches in his nose after a collision with San Antonio's Tony Parker in Game 1 Sunday -- played Tuesday night with a bandage over his nose.

Amare Stoudemire had 27 points and nine rebounds for the Suns.

Tim Duncan had 29 points and 11 rebounds, and Parker -- who scored 32 points in Game 1 -- finished with 13 points in Game 2. Duncan connected on 12-of-20 from the floor, but his teammates were way off -- shooting 21-of-57 from the field.

Manu Ginobili finished with just six points.

Game 3 of the best-of-seven series is set for Saturday in San Antonio.
