MLB: Colorado 3, St. Louis 2

ST. LOUIS, May 7 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki scored the go-ahead run on Brad Hawpe's bases-loaded walk in the top of the ninth Monday night as the Colorado Rockies beat St. Louis, 3-2.

Tulowitzki, who had an apparent home run taken away by the umpires earlier in the ninth, went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Colorado, which has won three of four. Todd Helton added a homer for the Rockies, who won with just four hits.

Ryan Ludwick and Jim Edmonds each drove in a run for the Cardinals, who lost for the seventh time in their last nine games.

With the score tied 2-2 in the ninth and one out, Tulowitzki appeared to hit a homer over the wall in left-center. However, second base umpire Bob Davidson ruled that the ball hit the top of the wall and bounced back into play, ending in a double.

Replays showed the hit should have been ruled a homer.

Brian Falkenborg (0-1), who started the inning for the Cardinals, then walked Matt Holliday and was lifted in favor of Tyler Johnson. Falkenborg intentionally walked Garrett Atkins before walking Hawpe to force in the go-ahead run.
