ARLINGTON, Texas, April 22 (UPI) -- Hank Blalock drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning with his third hit, as the Texas Rangers beat Oakland, 4-3.
Blalock also scored a run and drove in two runs.

Sammy Sosa drove in a run with a bases-loaded walk, and Ian Kinsler hit an RBI single for the Rangers, who have won twice after a three-game losing streak.
The winner was reliever Willie Eyre (1-0).
Akinori Otsuka recorded his second save of the season.
Shannon Stewart hit a two-run home run, Mike Piazza had two hits -- including an RBI double -- and both Stewart and Eric Chavez had a run and two hits for the Athletics, who have lost two in a row after a four-game winning streak.
The losing pitcher was Justin Duchscherer (1-1).
