MILWAUKEE, April 19 (UPI) -- J.J. Hardy had three hits, including a two-run homer, and four RBI as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-5.
The victory gave Milwaukee a sweep of the two-game series.
Rickie Weeks went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI; Corey Hart had two hits and one RBI; and Kevin Mench had one run and three hits for the Brewers, who have won three their last four games.
Winner Jeff Suppan (2-2) yielded three earned runs and six hits in six innings with one walk and three strikeouts.
Xavier Nady had two runs, three hits, including a two-run homer, and three RBI; Jose Bautista had two hits, one an RBI single; while Chris Duffy also had two hits for the Pirates, who have split their last four games.
Losing pitcher Zach Duke (1-2) was torched for seven earned runs and 11 hits in four innings.
