MLB: Colorado 6, Arizona 3

PHOENIX, April 14 (UPI) -- Brad Hawpe hit a two-run double in the seventh inning to lead Colorado over the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-3.

Todd Helton knocked in two runs and raised his career RBI total to 1,000; Matt Holliday and Kaz Matsui both had a run and three hits; while Helton and Holliday also knocked in two runs for the Rockies, who had lost four of their previous five games.

The winner was reliever Jeremy Affeldt (1-0).

Eric Byrnes knocked in all three runs with a single in the third inning and a two-run home run in the sixth; while Scott Drew had two runs and two hits for the Diamondbacks, who have lost two in a row following a six-game winning streak.

Losing pitcher Brandon Webb (1-1) allowed five earned runs and eight hits in seven innings with five walks and four strikeouts.
