MLB: San Francisco 8, Pittsburgh 5

PITTSBURGH, April 13 (UPI) -- Barry Bonds hit two home runs Friday night to help the San Francisco Giants beat Pittsburgh, 8-5.

He has hit four homers this season, giving him 737 for his career -- 19 shy of Hank Aaron's all-time Major League Baseball record.

Bonds' first homer Friday night was a two-run shot in the second. The second was a solo blast in the fourth.

Bonds also hit an RBI single in the first.

He left the game after four innings with two runs, three hits and four RBI.

Winner Russ Ortiz hit a two-run double, and Rich Aurilia had a run and two hits for the Giants, who have won two of three.

Ortiz (1-1) gave up five earned runs in 8 2/3 innings.

Chris Duffy hit a three-run homer, Jason Bay hit an RBI double, and Freddy Sanchez added a sacrifice fly for the Pirates, who have dropped four in a row.

The loser was Zack Duke (1-1).
