MLB: Florida 8, Philadelphia 5

MIAMI, April 7 (UPI) -- Josh Willingham had a homer, a triple, a double and four RBI Saturday night as the Florida Marlins downed the Philadelphia Phillies, 8-5.

Miguel Cabrera, Alejandro De Aza, Jason Wood and Mike Jacobs all hit RBI doubles; while both Jacobs and De Aza had two hits for the Marlins, who have won three of five to begin the new season.

Willingham fell a single short of becoming the first player in Marlins' history to hit for the cycle.

Winning pitcher Dontrelle Willis (2-0) yielded three runs on seven hits in six innings with two walks and nine strikeouts.

Jimmy Rollins hit a three-run inside-the-park home run and Chase Utley had two doubles and one RBI, but reigning NL MVP Ryan Howard was hitless in five trips for the Phillies, who have dropped four of five.

Loser Brett Myers (0-1) gave up six earned runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings with two walks and six strikeouts.
