AMELIA ISLAND, Fla., April 6 (UPI) -- Jelena Jankovic, Daniela Hantuchova and Venus Williams were upset quarterfinal losers Friday at the Bausch & Lomb Championships at Amelia Island, Fla.
Jankovic, the second seed, fell to fellow Serb Ana Ivanovic, 7-5, 6-3. Third-seeded Hantuchova of Slovakia was eliminated by 13th seed Austrian Sybille Bammer, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Williams, a former world No. 1, lost to eighth-seeded Frenchwoman Tatiana Golovin, 6-2, 6-3.
Golovin advances to Saturday's semifinals, where she will face Ivanovic. Bammer faces No. 1 seed Nadia Petrova, who beat fifth seeded fellow Russian Dinara Safina, 6-4, 7-5, in Friday's other quarterfinal match.
The tournament winner will earn $88,260.
