EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., April 1 (UPI) -- Jay Pandolfo scored two goals Sunday to help the New Jersey Devils beat the Boston Bruins, 3-1, and regain the lead in the Atlantic Division.
Pandolfo scored his first goal at 2:09 of the first period to put New Jersey on top, 1-0.
Boston's Petr Klaus and New Jersey's Brian Gionta exchanged power-play goals in the second as New Jersey held a 2-1 advantage entering the third.
Pandolfo scored his 13th goal of the season at 14:18 of the third to cap the scoring.
Gionta was activated off the disabled list after missing 11 games with a groin injury. Net-minder Martin Brodeur made 17 saves on 18 shots to record his league-leading 46th win of the season for the Devils, who have 102 points -- one more than Pittsburgh -- for first in the Atlantic.
Tim Thomas stopped 21 of 24 shots for the Bruins, who have lost three in a row. New Jersey has won four of five.
