SEATTLE, March 2 (UPI) -- Ryan Appleby scored 15 of his 22 points from beyond the three-point line Thursday night as Washington downed No. 24 USC, 85-70.
Washington halted a four-game losing streak by building as much as a 17-point advantage, and then fighting off a Trojans comeback that saw USC get within five.

Jon Brockman added 17 points for the Huskies (17-12, 7-10 Pac-10).
USC (21-9, 11-6) was led by Nick Young with 26 points.
The Huskies have won six of their last seven meetings with USC.
