Dupuis traded by Rangers to Atlanta

NEW YORK, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- The New York Rangers traded forward Pascal Dupuis and a 2007 third-round draft to the Atlanta Thrashers on Tuesday for right wing Alex Bourret.

Dupuis has appeared in 54 games with Minnesota and the Rangers this season with 11 goals and 14 points. He was acquired by New York on Feb. 9 from the Wild for Adam Hall.

In a six-year NHL career, Dupuis has 68 goals and 142 points in 340 games with Minnesota and New York.

Bourret has appeared in 45 games with Chicago (AHL), Atlanta's American Hockey League affiliate, getting up 11 goals and 32 points. The 20-year-old was a first-round selection, 16th overall, of the Thrashers in 2005.
