Defending champ reaches match play final

MARANA, Ariz., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Geoff Ogilvy and Henrik Stenson both won twice Saturday to reach 36-hole finals of the Accenture Match Play Championship in Marana, Ariz.

Ogilvy won this event last year prior to capturing the U.S. Open, and ran his match play winning streak to 11 Saturday by downing Paul Casey in the morning quarterfinals and Chad Campbell in the afternoon semifinals.

Stenson pulled off an amazing win over Nick O'Hern in the morning and defeated Trevor Immelman in the afternoon.

Stenson -- the highest-ranked player to reach the quarterfinals at No. 9 in the world -- was all square with O'Hern in the morning going to the 18th hole, and hit his tee shot into an unplayable lie. After taking a penalty drop, Stenson put his third shot within four feet on the par-4 hole and saved par.

When O'Hern made a bogey on the 18th, Stenson advanced with a 1-up victory. Stenson went on to defeat Immelman in the semifinals, 3&2.

Ogilvy is trying to become the only player other than Tiger Woods to win this tournament twice. O'Hern eliminated Woods in the third round Friday.
