NHL: N.Y. Rangers 5, Washington 2

WASHINGTON, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Michal Rozsival scored two goals Saturday night to help the New York Rangers blast Washington, 5-2.

His first goal came on the power play at 11:18 of the first period to start the scoring. The second goal was the eventual game-winner as New York took a 3-2 lead at 4:17 of the third.

Jaromir Jagr had three assists to become only the 12th player ever to score 1,500 career points. Martin Straka scored twice, Marcel Hossa had a goal and an assist, and Henrik Lundqvist made 17 saves on just 19 shots for the Rangers, who have won two in a row following a four-game losing streak.

Chris Clark had a goal and an assist for Washington. Alexander Ovechkin scored once, and Olaf Kolzig was beaten four times on 31 shots for the Capitals, who went 2-1-1 during a four-game home stand.

New York scored three power-play goals and Washington had two.
