NHL: St. Louis 2, Detroit 1 (OT)

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Bill Guerin scored at 1:09 of the overtime Friday night as the St. Louis Blues beat Detroit, 2-1.

The victory ended a streak of 11 games -- 10 wins, one tie -- in which St. Louis had failed to beat the Red Wings in St. Louis. It was the Blues' fourth straight win overall.

Guerin scored after picking up a loose puck that Doug Weight had pushed toward the net. It caromed off Red Wings goalie Chris Osgood and out to Guerin, who fired it right back at Osgood and into the net.

Ryan Johnson scored the Blues' other goal, and Manny Legace finished with 28 saves.

Johan Franzen scored for Detroit. Osgood had 18 saves for the Red Wings, who lost their third straight game.
