COL BKB: Florida 70, Miss. State 67

STARKVILLE, Fla., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Top-ranked Florida overcame a four-point halftime deficit Wednesday night and topped un-ranked Mississippi State, 70-67.

Corey Brewer led the reigning national champions with 20 points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Taurean Green had 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists; Joakim Noah had 10 points and six rebounds; while Al Horford had nine points and 14 rebounds for the Gators (18-2, 5-0 SEC), who have won 11 games in a row.

They trailed, 33-29, at the break, and withstood a late MSU rally after moving ahead midway through the second half.

Jamont Gordon had 17 points, six assists, and four rebounds; Barry Stewart had 16 points and three rebounds; while Dietric Slater scored 10 points for the Bulldogs (11-7, 2-3), who have lost five of their last seven games overall.

Florida was helped by making 23 of 34 free throw attempts; while MSU went 13-of-17.
